We were so happy Jessie was able to take some time with us and do a quick Q&A about his return to the ring. We hope you enjoy and we can't wait to see Mr. Pec-Tacular in action!
Jessie: It was an absolutely amazing experience returning home to OVW Wrestling. Truly epic!! The response from the fans was overwhelming. It was as if I had never left. It truly felt awesome to be back where it all started. At World-Renowned OVW. No other promotion is more respected or admired around the world.
And this time being back as an 8x Champion (1x OVW Television Champ, 5x OVW Southern Tag Team Champ and 2x Impact Tag Team Champ), as one of the most decorated superstars in OVW history, was beyond thrilling.
Also being at The Arena in Jeffersonville, IN was an incredible experience. The reaction from the cheering crowd was amazing. Just a phenomenal time all the way around.
And to be back at OVW during the most exciting time in its history is a tremendous honor. OVW is now seen in over 100 Million Homes in the USA and in another 100 Million+ Internationally on 6 different US TV Networks and on dozens of platforms in the US and around the world. It's an incredible privilege being a part of OVW during their fastest expansion period in history...by far.
OVW is now seen in more homes than practically any other wrestling promotion in the world, second only to WWE. And that all happened in just a matter of a few months. Truly a record-breaking accomplishment and the biggest success story of 2020.
Jessie: Well, of course, there's OVW Heavyweight Champion Tony Gunn! I've never held that title before and it's something I've always dreamed of so that's a priority. I think we could have an epic match.
But even moreso than that, I've heard that OVW is now creating the OVW National Heavyweight Championship Title. Top superstars from OVW and around the world are already talking about how they want to be the first ever champion.
That would be the most prestigious championship of anyone's career and it is the most coveted title right now around the world so whoever I have to face to get my chance at that championship, I'm ready. THAT is certainly my top priority. If you become the first person to win that title, that would be legendary.
Jessie: I've always wondered that myself too. Haha But seriously, I'm blessed with great genetics and I usually try to workout about 5 days a week or so and try to eat clean and stay in top world-class shape year round because you never know when a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like returning to OVW will come up and you need to be ready and on top of your game at all times.
Jessie: Become the top superstar in the industry today. And to me, that means becoming the top superstar in the top promotion in the world today.
And that, of course, is OVW.
So in other words, right now my main goals are trying to become the first ever OVW National Heavyweight Champion, and the OVW Heavyweight Champion. If I can do that, I'll be on top of the world. Now THAT would be PEC-Tacular!
